Governance
The group's decision rights, its relationship with the companies, and the rules it is bound by.
What the group decides, and what the company decides
This is the most concrete question about any group structure, and the answer is usually unwritten. At Moz Group decision rights are deliberately narrow: the group takes on capital, shared infrastructure and coordination between companies; decisions on product, pricing and team stay with the company.
| Matter | Group | Company |
|---|---|---|
| Product roadmap | Does not intervene | Full authority |
| Pricing | Does not intervene | Full authority |
| Hiring and team | Does not intervene | Full authority |
| Capital and investment | Decides | Proposes |
| Brand and trade name | Approves | Operates |
| Information security standard | Sets the minimum frame | Applies and certifies |
The governance frame
One legal entity, one responsibility
Each group company has its own legal personality, its own contracts and its own financial responsibility. One company's commitment does not bind the others, and certificates are issued in the company's name rather than attributed to the group.
Shared infrastructure, separate data
The group's companies share infrastructure such as identity management, the security framework and engineering practice. Customer data is not shared: each company's data stays within its own boundary, and any transfer between companies happens only with the customer's knowledge and consent.
Certified management systems
Independently audited management systems are operated in information security, service management, business continuity and risk. The group sets the minimum frame; certification and audit remain the company's own responsibility.
Binding rules
- No figure that cannot be verified is used in corporate communication.
- No customer is named as a reference without their permission.
- No licensed third-party product is presented as the group's own.
- One company's commitment does not bind the other group companies.
Management system certificates
Independently audited management systems held by the group companies.
